VOIP

It is easy for us when we have a software (Microsoft Office Communicator) which we can 'click' and call colleague without using a traditional phone.

AUDIO/VIDEO CONFERENCING

Office Communications Server 2007 provide us with audio/video conferencing infrastructure where you can make audio/video call to many users.

VOICEMAIL

okie...my situation is like this

i have implemented OCS 2007 with two different sites which connected over WAN. the two sites are still under same private network which is not expose t internet.

the OCS server IP address :10.11.191.10 (network A) - line speed 128k

the MOC user1 : 10.11.191.11 (network A)

the MOC user2 : 10.20.191.40 (network B) -line speed 1 MB

the MOC user3: 10.20.191.41 (network B)

situation 1:
No firewall restriction(transparent) between network A & B. Everything goes fine between user1 & user2...IM working..video working...(low quality on user 1)...but when i launch file transfer from User2 to User1, the User1 can accept the file transfer but it failed..(the error is about firewall or network problem..contact administrator)....i think the file supposed to be upload to the OCS server before user1 can download it...it's only my opinion...am i rite?but where the file was stored?is it the problem because the line speed at Network A is too slow?

situation2:
i launched the Video Call from User2 to User3 which is still under same network. before everythings work...i thought the video call from User1 should reached OCS server and then go back to User2. the quality video supposed to be low because the call go through the network A (line speed 128k). but the quality video is really great....awesome! and it's mean that the call from User1 is go to User2 directly without going to OCS server.am i rite?please correct me...

from my opinion, the file transfer also should work same method with Video Call..it should be peer to peer...and now i dont know either the file transfer from User2 to User3 go to OCS server and then coming back through the line speed at 128k(network A) or is it peer to peer. the file transfer from User2 to User3 also failed same with situation 1. help meSad

is it slow line speed can affect the file transfer?

the answer:

Okie, finally i get the answer for my problem. the problem occur because of the routing problem which the user from outside Network A is problem to send the real IP to the user inside network A. But the user from Network A can send file to user in network B,why? it is because user from network A can send the real IP address to user in network B. this is the main cause why user from network B cannot do file transfer.

Another thing i found from this problem when certain PC transfer file to another PC. okie, let me explain a littile bit...maybe it is just coincidence or maybe it is really a OCS bug.

userA and B PCs are both come from domain:dax.com.my. but when i want to test the OCS,so i need to join the domain: suki.com.my. when user A try to send file to user B,it will return fail. but why? i think the problem is because the PC A & B still using setting from domain:dax.com.my. so the best way is try to use PC which is not registered with other domain before.
